Privacy Policy

Resonant Health LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Serenova mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).

Health & Wellness Data: Mood entries, journal notes, and chat messages you submit within the app. This data is stored in our secure database.

Usage Data: App usage patterns, session durations, and feature interactions collected anonymously for improving the service.

Location Data: If you use the "Find Help" feature, we request your approximate location to show nearby professionals. We do not store your location.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide and improve the Serenova service
Personalize your AI companion's responses
Detect and respond to crisis situations to ensure your safety
Send transactional emails (welcome, subscription confirmation, password reset)
Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve features
Comply with legal obligations

3. Crisis Situations

If our AI detects language indicating a potential mental health crisis, the app will flag this internally and display emergency resources (988 Lifeline, 911). We do not automatically contact emergency services without your consent, except where required by law.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

Service Providers: AI processing, Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), and SendGrid (email) — each under data processing agreements.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger or acquisition, with continued privacy protections.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure password hashing (bcrypt)
JWT-based authentication with expiring tokens
Regular security reviews

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@resonanthealth.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. You may also delete your account directly within the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Serenova is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and data
Export your data
Opt out of certain data processing

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Serenova after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
